John Grummitt L.D.S, R.C.S, (Eng.), D.G.D.P. (U.K.), M.Med.Sci (GDC number 56377)*

John was born in West Bridgford and has lived most of his life in this area.  His passion and commitment to dentistry is well known to his patients.

He qualified at Kings College, London in 1982.  In 1991 he was awarded a DGDP by election from the Royal College of Surgeons of England for his commitment to postgraduate education.

In 2000 he was awarded a Masters degree in Periodontology and Restorative Dentistry (with distinction) from the University of Sheffield, where he has also been involved in teaching undergraduates.

He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Impantologists, Fellow of the British Society for Restorative Dentistry and a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. 

Paul Lyons B.Ch.D (Leeds) (GDC number 61634)*

Paul went to school in West Bridgford before going to Leeds University to study dentistry.  He returned to Nottingham, married and has three daughters who now attend his old school.  Paul brings to the patients of Compton Acres Dental Practice the knowledge he has gained from running his own successful practice.

He regularly attends postgraduate dental meetings, taking a keen interest in all aspects of modern dentistry.  He has completed a one-year course in advanced restorative dentistry.

Paul has many years experience planning and treating complex restorative cases including the use of dental implants, crowns, bridges and removable prostheses.  He enjoys finding innovative solutions for his patients.

Paul is particularly interested in preventing dental disease but where treatment is needed he always to prefers to use the most modern aesthetic tooth coloured restorations, porcelain veneers and tooth whitening.

Roddy Patterson Dip CDT RCS (Eng.) Clinical Dental Technician (GDC number 131080)*

Roddy was among the first graduates of the Royal College of Surgeons of England to obtain the British qualification for Clinical Dental Technicians the CDT DipRCS (Eng.).  Prior to this, he achieved an Advanced Diploma with Honours from George Brown College (Toronto, Canada) in Clinical Dental Technology having originally qualified as a Dental Technician in Nottingham in 1980.  He is fully registered with the General Dental Council.

Roddy regularly attends courses in the UK and Europe to expand his knowledge of the latest denture techniques including BPS and Swiss dentures. He has the unique combination of artistic flair and clinical knowledge to create for you the highest quality, hand crafted dentures.
